I'm Rob, a former ski instructor and an avid skiing enthusiast. I built Snowge to help people find ski resorts and understand lift-pass prices in Japan.

Japan feels like a one-of-a-kind place to me. Snowge is my way of making it easier for other skiers to plan a visit, starting with the resorts and their published prices.

Snowge is an independent reference for Japanese ski lift-pass and ropeway prices, published at snowge.com.

The aim is to make a resort's published figures easier to find and understand. A price on its own leaves out much of the decision: who the ticket is for, which lifts it covers, when it can be used and where it must be bought. Snowge brings the recorded details together with a link to the publication and the date it was read.

A starting point for planning

Find a resort by its English or Japanese name, or explore the resort map. Each resort page keeps its recorded products and source history together. If you have a date in mind, the pass finder separates prices whose recorded dates cover your date from those whose recorded dates do not settle it.

Snowge is a reference website, not a resort operator or ticket seller. Before buying, follow the source link and confirm the product, conditions and availability with the resort or its linked seller.

What the reference covers

The catalogue includes ski areas and ropeways in Japan. It is a selected catalogue, not a complete inventory of every resort. It records lift pass and ropeway prices only. It does not list prices for rentals, lessons, transfers or accommodation, and it never adds prices together into a trip total.

Older price tables stay useful for seeing what was published in a particular season. Their dates and status stay visible. Missing information and contradictory publications are explained alongside the records; neither becomes a guessed figure.

Sources and travel writing

The price-recording methodology explains how Snowge handles original wording, season evidence, missing information and source conflicts. The Japan ski guides provide a separate place for authored travel writing, with dated factual qualifications shown where applicable.

Help improve the reference

If you spot a different official price, a missing condition or a broken link, send a private report. Include the resort, dates, ticket type and official source if you can. You do not need to leave your name or an email address.

Reports are a starting point for checking the source. They do not automatically change the reference or become public. As no contact details are requested, the form cannot provide a personal reply.
